This course is required as a prerequisite to the PADI Instructor Development Course. During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, CPR & AED courses. Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses.

This course covers the General Standards and Procedures for teaching the first aid courses as well as the methodology utilized for all courses and must be completed before any individual course module. You are also required to complete the individual course modules for each program you wish to teach.
