CPR for Healthcare Provide and First Aid

Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death worldwide, and witnessing a cardiac emergency in a diving context or your daily life is not unlikely. Taking the DAN CPR: Health Care Provider with First Aid course will help prepare you to handle these events and other life-threatening incidents.

Requirements

There are no prerequisites, age restrictions or water sessions required for this course is open to everyone.

The Learning

This course will teach you one- and two-person CPR for adults, children and infants. It also covers how to check vital signs and teaches suctioning skills that may be necessary to protect an injured person’s airway, especially in aquatic environments. This course includes the following:

  • Scene Safety Assessment

  • Blood Borne Pathogens

  • CPR and AEDs: Single- and Two- Rescuer, Adult, Child and Infant

  • Obstructed Airway

  • Shock Management

  • Bandaging and Wound Management

  • Splinting

  • Donning and Doffing Gloves

  • Initial Assessment

  • Recovery Position

Call Denny’s Scuba Adventure to enroll in the course and get your DAN CPR for Healthcare Professional Course eLearning link by email. You must complete the the eLearning course before the the practical application session, you’ll be better prepared to start practicing your basic life support and first aid skills with your Instructor.
